- Easy of Use: We have designed this application to be as powerful,
flexible, efficient and robust as possible, without sacrificing
easy-of-use or intuitiveness.
- Grouping: You can group your keywords and websites into projects.
The number of keywords and websites to track per project is virtually
unlimited, and you can create as many projects as you like.
- Google Index: You can specify, on a per project basis, what
Google index you'd like to use. So if your website are, for example,
Australian specific, you can nominate to use google.com.au as your
search engine index.
- Search Top 1,000 Results: Yes, you can determine the ranking of your websites
for your keyword searches within the top 1,000 SERPs (Search Engine Result Pages).
- Stand-alone: The SERPtracker application runs on your computer
and not on a website. Only you have access to your SERPtracker data.
If you are using a SERP tracking website service, it is quite
possible they are using your data for their own benefit (niche
targeting etc).
- Minimal Footprint: The SERPtracker application has a very
small footprint because it doesn't use a bunch of fancy components.
We keep the user interface clean and simple.
- No Database: We don't install any database system (like MySQL, MSDE,
Dbase etc) to save your project settings or track your rankings.
While databases have their place, they do consume a large amount
of memory, and add to the complexity of the install (and uninstall).
- No Registry: We don't utilise the registry to maintain state
or configuration settings etc, so you won't experience registry bloat
and system slow-down.
- Plain ASCII Files: All the configuration files, project files,
performance results etc are all plain ASCII files. This means they can be
edited with plain old Notepad.exe or your favorite text editor
- Export: Your results data can be exported in the industry
standard file exchange format - CSV (Comma Separated Values) - which
means your exported data can be imported into applications like Microsoft
Excel or Open Office Calc (to name but a few applications) for further analysis,
charting etc.
- Cloning: You can load an existing project, make some changes, and save it as
an entirely new project, keeping all your keywords and websites intact.
This saves you time in creating new projects from scratch. For example, you may have an
existing project that scans the worldwide Google index google.com, but you also want to
be able to scan
the Australian Google index google.com.au as a comparison. This can be done in a matter
of seconds with SERPtracker.
- Side-by-Side Comparisons: You can open multiple historical report windows and compare
the performance of several keywords side-by-side. Take a screen-shot and email it to your boss or
client as your daily, weekly, fortnightly or monthly report. The whole process takes just a few
minutes. Now that's a real time saver!
